At 12:50 a.m. on New Year's Day 2012, a call came into the dispatcher in Evans, Colorado, from Weld County Corrections Officer Tom Fallis. Tom and his wife, Ashley, had hosted a party that night at the home they shared with their three children. The last of the guests had left about 10 minutes before Tom called 911, saying that Ashley had just shot herself in the head.
Just a few of hours after Tom Fallis called 911 on Jan. 1, 2012, he was interviewed by Det. Rita Wolf of the Evans Police Department. Fallis maintains that he was in their closet, changing his clothes, when his wife, Ashley, got her gun from underneath their bed and shot herself in the head. Following this interview, he was released without charges.
