Watch CBS News
The Weather Watcher Network is a way for weather enthusiasts to connect with CBS New York's meteorologists and our community by sharing their weather observations. This exclusive information gives CBS New York's meteorologists a picture of how the weather is changing around our region. We also share this information in every weathercast on CBS New York.
Our weather watchers are your neighbors -- the ones who are always talking about last night's storms, tomorrow's chance for snow, and the cool cloud formation they saw last week. The reports they submit come from their homes, their schools, and their cabins; the information comes from their personal weather stations. They tell. us how. much snow fell, or how temperatures are changing; they share photos or video of cool weather-related sights; and they can send a direct alert to our meteorologists when they see severe or unusual weather in their community.
