Pentagon briefs families of soldiers killed in Niger ambush
The commander of an ill-fated patrol in Niger objected to a change in the mission that sent his team looking for a terrorist. According to a family member briefed on the investigation, the team had not done the sufficient training with the Nigerien soldiers they were operating with.
