Obama, Putin discuss coordinated effort to quell Ukrainian violence
President Obama and Vladimir Putin spoke for nearly an hour on Friday as violence continued to escalate in the Ukraine. The Obama administration and several European allies are hoping the Russian government will back the fragile peace deal reached between the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian opposition forces on Friday.
