New California law allows immigrants to receive driver's licenses

Thousands of undocumented immigrants eagerly awaited their chance to apply for a driver's license in California, some in near-freezing temperatures. Under the new law, undocumented immigrants must submit fingerprints, proof of identity and state residency, in addition to passing the written and behind-the-wheel exams to receive their license.
