Flashback 1985: When Ecstasy was legal
This "CBS Evening News" report from 1985 looked at the rise of a popular new drug called Ecstasy. In 1985 the drug was unregulated, much to the dismay of the Drug Enforcement Agency. Former CBS News correspondent Steve Young profiled the drug, the users who enjoyed it and the DEA's efforts to make it illegal.
