Experimental eye treatment offers new hope for the blind
British researchers are testing a new form of gene therapy that has helped some blind people see. The operation replaces the defective gene inside of the eye which leads to an improvement in vision. Researchers believe that genetic procedures such as this represent the future of treating blindness.
