Emergency workers respond to heat-related calls
Hospitals are beginning to see more patients who have succumbed to the heat. Philadelphia has activated its heat emergency hotline, while St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City has added EMS units and doctors to help deal with the expected increase in heat-related cases.
