2/8: American wins gold on day 1 of Sochi games; new farm bill cuts $8.6 billion from food stamps
The first American to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi is slopestyle snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg. So far, Americans are 4th place in the medal count; and, The new farm bill, which President Obama signed into law Friday, cuts $8.6 billion from food stamp programs during the next decade.
