As director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard oversaw 18 agencies and organizations over the last year and a half, at a time during which President Trump launched military strikes in at least seven countries. The only person who can determine what is and is not an imminent threat is the president.

In a resignation letter, Gabbard revealed her husband is battling "an extremely rare form of bone cancer," and "I must step away from public service to be by his side." Gabbard is the fourth member of Trump's cabinet to depart during his second term. The president posted, "Tulsi has done an incredible job, and we will miss her." Gabbard's tenure was in question in recent months after Trump contradicted her congressional testimony that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon, according to the intelligence community. Well, then my intelligence community is wrong. Who in the intelligence community said that?

Trump continues to demand Iran abandon its nuclear ambitions, as the Pentagon beefs up its presence and enforces the US blockade against Iranian ports. Today, the administration said there has been some progress toward a peace agreement. Iran is dying to make a deal. We'll see what happens. But we hit them hard, and we had no choice because Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. They cannot have it. [APPLAUSE] President Trump was planning to spend the weekend at his New Jersey golf club but changed his plans last minute to stay here in Washington instead. He's skipping the wedding of his son, Don Jr., citing bad timing as he deals with Iran. And, Tony, that was before our new reporting that he may launch another strike. Weijia Jiang with the breaking news tonight. Weijia, thank you very much.
