At Washington's Reagan National Airport, many travelers were pleasantly surprised to fly through security. Wait times were reported to be under 10 minutes, as they were in Orlando, Philadelphia, and Detroit. When we left Florida, waits were like two hours, so this is not bad at all. I saw on Instagram that there would be a lot of people, but there aren't a lot of people.

But elsewhere, the waiting woes continued, like in Atlanta, where the line started at passenger drop off. And in New York, lines at LaGuardia and JFK wrapped around the terminal. Here at Houston's Bush Airport, the queue started even before the gates opened and topped four hours. I might have my other leg of my pants done by the time this is all over.

[? Johan ?] Norman and Hannah Molvig were here yesterday when their luggage made the flight to Frankfurt, but they did not. How much time did you give yourself then today to be able to make a flight? Six hours. Yeah. Around six hours.

Members of Congress may also miss the start of their planned recess tomorrow. The Senate leader said if there's no budget deal, they'll likely have to stay in DC to continue negotiating. 41 days into the impasse, nearly 500 TSA officers have quit. Angela Grana, an officer in Durango, Colorado, said her colleagues are feeling forgotten. They're sleeping in their cars, and if they're not sleeping in their cars, they're sleeping at the airport. They're selling their plasma, which I can't believe you've got to do that.
