Trump signs proclamation to send troops to U.S.-Mexico border
President Trump signed a proclamation ordering National Guard troops to be deployed to the Mexican border. He says a "drastic surge of illegal activity" left his administration "no choice but to act." But it's still unclear what exactly those troops will do along the border when they get there.
