"The Food Explorer" author on the man who helped shape America's diet
When explorer David Fairchild traveled the world in the mid-19th century he did more than send back postcards, he brought back foods that would become staples of the American diet including avocados, oranges and kale. Fairchild's story is told in the new book, "The Food Explorer." Author Daniel Stone joins "CBS This Morning: Saturday" to discuss the man who transformed what America eats.
