Sharpeville massacre was turning point in anti-apartheid movement

On March 21, 1960, 3,000 black South Africans gathered to protest one of the most hated restrictions against the nation's black majority: passbooks, which controlled their every movement. Police opened fire, killing 69 and sparking outrage worldwide. Michelle Miller reports.
