Senate votes 51-49 to advance Brett Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS nomination to vote
The Senate voted 51-49, largely along party lines, to move forward with a vote on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski voted against the motion, while red-state Democrat Joe Manchin voted in favor.
