Patients discharged from hospital during holidays at higher risk of death, study finds
New research finds patients discharged from the hospital during the holidays have a higher risk of death or re-admission. The study in the BMJ in Britain found people tend to be discharged more quickly so they can be home with family. Other factors included under-staffed hospitals and medical staff fatigue.
