NSA chief: We take protection of civil liberties seriously
While he did not directly address the controversy over newly revealed National Security Agency surveillance programs that gather information on individuals' phone and internet use, NSA director Gen. Keith Alexander said that his employees "take compliance, oversight, protecting civil liberties and privacy and the security of this nation to their heart."
