New spinal treatment helps paralyzed patients move again

Four patients paralyzed by spinal cord injuries are now able to move again thanks to an electrical stimulator placed at the base of the spine. Researchers say that when turned on, the stimulator emits impulses that appear to awaken injured or dormant nerve pathways. Dr. Jon LaPook reports.
