New Orleans officers fired, charged over man’s beating
Two rookie New Orleans police officers have been fired and charged with battery in the beating of George Gomez following a confrontation at a bar early Tuesday. Gomez, who served in the Louisiana National Guard, told the New Orleans Advocate the men harassed him over his camouflage clothing and called him a “fake American.” Jacqueline Quynh reports for CBS affiliate WWL-TV.
