IRS to offer free electronic tax filing program to some Americans
The IRS has begun accepting tax returns for the 2024 tax season. Starting in March, the agency will offer a free program in 12 states that will let eligible taxpayers directly file with them electronically. Commissioner of the IRS Danny Werfel joined CBS News to discuss the program.
