International and domestic impact of U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports
The World Trade Organization says uncertainty about a possible trade war is already dragging down the world economy. The WTO issued the warning just before new U.S. tariffs on $34 billion of Chinese imports go into effect at midnight. China says it will not "fire the first shot" but will impose tariffs on American goods immediately if the U.S. follows through.
