Inspector General: HHS officials did not plan for family separations at border
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General's office has released a report criticizing the handling of family separations at the southern border. It says top officials at the department ignored repeated warnings from staff and did not have a plan in place to protect children separated from their families.
