Georgia police chief works to heal wounds made by racial injustice

Police chief Lou Dekmar of Lagrange, Georgia, has set an example for effective community policing by addressing decades of inequality. Four years ago, the Lagrange police chief publicly apologized for the 1940 lynching of a Black teenager and now partners with dozens of local organizations addressing inequality.
