Former ICE detainee claims major surgery was done without her consent
An ICE detention facility in Georgia is coming under fire after being accused of performing unwanted medical procedures. In an exclusive interview, Mireya Villarreal speaks with Pauline Binam, a former detainee who claims the doctors performed a major surgery without her consent. CBS News has requested more information from ICE and access to Binam's other medical records, but the agency said such a request would require Binam to sign a consent form. Additionally, Binam’s attorney, Van Huynh, tells us they have also been unable to acquire those documents, and are still working to get her surgical consent form and other records from the hospital.
