Public defenders say Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz should continue to be represented at taxpayer expense because he likely doesn't have the assets to pay a private lawyer. Cruz, who's charged with killing 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February, appeared in court April 11.
