Once an Olympic snowboarder representing Canada at the 2002 games, Ryan Wedding, according to the FBI, became more prolific in the two decades after as an alleged drug kingpin. Today, federal agents brought Wedding to California after catching him in Mexico, where he spent the last decade, they say. He's a modern-day El Chapo. He is a modern-day Pablo Escobar, and he thought he could evade justice.

Wedding's organization allegedly moved cocaine from Colombia to California to Canada, enriching himself with the proceeds. Here's his motorcycle collection, itself worth millions. The Department of Justice also accused Wedding of multiple murders, including a government witness in South America. Ryan Wedding tormented several people and several families that will never be the same. But today, they get the justice that they sought.

An especially complicated case with Americans working along with Mexican and Canadian officials. The FBI doesn't stand there and pat themselves on the back for every single win, but this is one of the big ones. So a 10 Most Wanted capture is a pretty big success, especially someone of this magnitude.

Wedding is expected to face federal felony charges at a court appearance next week. Scott MacFarlane, CBS News, New York.
