Farm bill deal would cut food stamps by 1 percent
A bipartisan agreement on a farm bill could preserve food stamp benefits for most Americans who get them. The plan would cut about one percent from the program instead of the five percent previously proposed. The House could vote on the measure as early as tomorrow.
