But this year's Gala is also facing controversy, particularly around honorary co-chairs, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sanchez Bezos. Critics cite Amazon's labor practices and are calling for a boycott. Shame on you, Jeff Bezos!

Last night, a video featuring Amazon workers angry over the way they're treated was projected on the facade of Bezos Fifth Avenue apartment. A handful of celebrities have decided to sit out this year's Gala. And New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani is skipping the event, saying he's focused on affordability in one of the country's most expensive cities. There are no cameras allowed inside of this invitation-only fundraiser, but the cost of individual tickets has soared. Now $100,000, up from $75,500 last year. And despite all the controversy and high ticket prices, there is so much excitement in the air to see how everyone will interpret this year's theme. People are especially excited to catch a glimpse of Beyoncé, one of the co-chairs. She hasn't been here in 10 years. Tony?
