We are back with The Good Stuff, the story of a surprise connection between a young hospital patient and a construction crew nearby. Last month, while playing with a flashlight in her room at the Cleveland Clinic, four-year-old Brinley Wyczalek and her father shined a light into a building going up across the street. To their surprise, one of the workers shined a light right back and made a sign that said, "Get Well Soon." They responded with a sign of their own that said, "Thanks, Waiting for a Heart," which is true. Brinley needs a transplant. And that news got everyone's heart going. It really changed my perspective on a lot of things. And I think a lot of the guys around here felt the same. And that connection started growing every day.

Recently, still in boots and safety vests, workers dropped off a get well bear twice Brinley's size and a construction hat with all of their signatures on it. What's that? He's giving you a heart. Give him a heart.

Oh, look at the little heart. [CHUCKLES]

And even though construction has moved on to other parts of the project, every single day before they leave, workers still come back down to that original window, that original floor to flash Brinley a heart sign. Brinley's mom told us how meaningful that connection has become. They love her, so I'm glad that we were able to do that and give her some hope too. Brinley is still waiting for that heart transplant. But in the meantime, the construction crew tells us they have all the heart they could ever need from little Brinley. And they are rooting for her each and every day. We are too.
