Brutal heat, life-threatening weather pummeling southern U.S.
Residents in Jasper County, Mississippi, are facing the aftermath of a powerful tornado that ripped apart homes and other buildings. It was one of more than 20 confirmed tornadoes in the U.S. since Friday. At the same time, other parts of the South are dealing with intense heat.
