It turns out divorce is contagious. It is at least according to a study from brown university. Researchers found the divorce of a close friend or relative dramatically increases your chances of a split. In fact, clusters of divorces often extend two degrees of separation in a social network. So, to be specific, you are 75% more likely to divorce your partner if your friend beat you to the filing papers.
