Will Fall Stay Around This Time?

Another great day in store for us in regards to the weather. It'll be a cold morning but a wonderful day. The sunshine and low humidity will allow for a rapid warm-up:

Had another minor earthquake in the Irving area last night, this one happened just north of Love Field. That was the 77th quake (2.0 or stronger) that has shaken this area since the first one struck back in April of last year

A strong upper level-low over northern California will move into west Texas by next the end of next week. That will produce a decent rain chance for north Texas:

It could produce the best rain we've had in over a month:

Until then the change of weather will be VERY noticeable this week. Last week it was more like summer. This week it'll be more like Fall:

And it's nice to talk about rain. The first 180 days of this year (thru June 30th) DFW logged 65 days with measureable precipitation (that includes all those days of snow and ice back in Jan/Feb). Since July 1st over the following 108 days we've had FIVE DAYS with measurable rain. Yes, we had a Spring with rain every three DAY. We had a summer/early Fall with rain about every three weeks.

We have to wait for till the end of the week for that rain chance to show up. But it's a nice wait with highs in the low 80's:
