For the first time in four days: NO Flood Watch in effect for north Texas:
We had a round of heavy rain move thru this morning, the largest amounts were logged across Wise, Denton and Collin counties:
DFW Airport had less than an inch of rain this morning. None the less, it added to the records. What a May to remember in a soggy mind. The wettest May ever and less than an inch away from the wettest month ever recorded:
In fact the typical amount of rainfall we should have by 150 days into a year was surpassed in 24 days (out of 30) of rain in May:
Over 12" of that rain, more than a foot, fell in the last two weeks of month. No wonder the Lakes are at record/near record heights:
All the lakes listed below are still rising as of this evening:
Follow CBSDFW.COM for the latest in the lake and river flooding going on.
What is ahead is some dry weather. A cold front pushed through this afternoon. High pressure will build in behind it:
Not only do we end May like we started it (dry), we start June with a the longest run of dry weather we've had since the end of March!
