Warm Up, Then Rain Down

We've been tracking the historic flooding in South Carolina. Rainfall amounts over the last 3 days have equaled what they normally get in the span of 4-5 months. The large low over Florida has pulled in a plume of tropical moisture from Hurricane Joaquin as it is moving just west of Bermuda. More air is expected thru Monday morning in the flooded areas.

Here is your Monday hour - by - hour:

A warm-up before we get the rain, we'll be in the upper 80's by Wednesday.

The best rain chances will be west of the Metroplex on Thursday but a nice soaking is possible on Friday. Behind the front we'll have cooler weather:

The models continue to vacillate between a soaking rain for north Texas and a big rain just to the west of us. Get the latest rain chance information tomorrow morning from Scott Padgett tomorrow morning and Larry Mowry tomorrow evening.
