Finally Some Rain in February
This unseasonable run of warm and dry temperatures over the last ten days is about to come to windy, wet end:
A front moves over north Texas thru the day. By afternoon rain chances start to increase and continue to build up thru the night. A few thunderstorms are in the forecast along with some spots getting a good soaking:
Monday morning will have a few showers around but the best chance for rain this month so far arrives on Tuesday. Storms with small hail possible on Tuesday along with blustery north winds and falling temperatures.
We've only had a trace of rain so far this month and only an inch of rain since the year started. We could double that amount by Tuesday afternoon:
It'll be very cold on Tuesday afternoon with temperatures in the 40's by then with winds 15-25 mph. Once the rain clears we dry out for the rest of the week. We'll get back to warm weather around by next weekend:
