Tropical storm watches are in effect for both coasts of southern Florida as the Atlantic hurricane season gets underway. Tropical Storm Alex is expected to make landfall in Florida on Saturday.
The storm could pack winds as high as 100 mph at landfall, and forecasters warned of "potentially life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides."
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released its forecast for the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season, predicting at least 14 named storms and 6 to 10 hurricanes. Tanya Rivero has details.
