Trump touts Saudi Arabia partnership

President Trump addressed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Saudi Arabia as part of his trip to the Middle East. Mr. Trump boasted about close ties between the U.S. and the Arab kingdom and called for a strong partnership to deal with Iran and other foreign adversaries in the region. Mr. Trump also called for an end to U.S. sanctions on Syria and for more focus on Lebanon's economic growth. CBS News' Courtney Kealy and Aaron Navarro have more.

Trump on Iran and Ukraine

President Trump landed in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday in the final leg of his Middle East tour. He met with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and visited a mosque before an official state dinner in Abu Dhabi. Before landing, Mr. Trump applauded his trip to the Middle East and suggested Russia-Ukraine peace talks won't progress until he and Russian President Vladimir Putin "get together." CBS News' senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang and correspondent Imtiaz Tyab have the latest.

The latest on...As the tariff standoff continues, a CBS News poll conducted from April 8-11 found that 75% of Americans are concerned tariffs will raise prices, at least in the short term, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California tells "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" that the deportation of a Maryland man to an El Salvandor prison and the airstrikes on Iran-backed Houthis prove that the Trump administration is "taking actions that are unconstitutional", and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed Friday that new research will find the cause of the "autism epidemic" by September. Dr. Peter Marks, the former top vaccines official at the Food and Drug Administration, warns on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" that "giving people false hope is something you should never do."
