Emma Heming Willis says her family's choice to provide Bruce Willis with a separate home is about safety and support as they navigate his dementia diagnosis.
She said she had been "triggered" by seeing a headline about her husband that claimed there was no more joy in his life.
A new documentary on the life of former talk show host Wendy Williams is being called exploitative in the wake of Williams' aphasia and frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. Aramide Tinubu, a TV critic for Variety, joined CBS News to discuss the show.
The news of Wendy Williams' dementia-linked diagnoses is an important reminder that the conditions are often missed initially by medical providers, according to Dr. Sandra Weintraub, a clinician and neuropsychologist at Northwestern University, who joined CBS News with a look at the medical effects.
Wendy Williams and Bruce Willis have both received the diagnosis, which describes a group of brain disorders that affect the frontal and temporal lobes.
"I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space," Emma Heming Willis said.

The actor's family has revealed that Willis has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, which led to an outpouring of support from across social media.
Willis was originally diagnosed with aphasia last year, but has since received a "painful" new diagnosis.
