New CBS News polling shows half of U.S. voters think former President Donald Trump attempted to stay in office illegally following the 2020 election, and most Americans polled think that has broader implications on the nation. Trump lashes out at Justice Department
In the days after former President Donald Trump's third criminal indictment, related to his attempts to stay in power following the 2020 election, he continued campaigning and railing against special counsel Jack Smith. Meanwhile, a new CBS News poll finds more than half of Americans believe Trump tried to stay in office through illegal and unconstitutional means. Days after his latest federal indictment, former President Donald Trump hit the campaign trail in Alabama to continue his campaign for presidency, calling the indictments a badge of honor. Missed the second half of the show? John Lauro, an attorney for former President Donald Trump, says former Vice President Mike Pence will "eviscerate any allegation of criminal intent on the part of Trump." And Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota says he hasn't decided whether to challenge President Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination. Finally, Chris Krebs says there were "any number of state election officials who had every incentive in the world to prove that something happened to deliver an outcome to President Trump, but that never happened."

Despite a poll showing most Americans appear to support the indictments, Trump is maintaining his sizeable lead in GOP primary polling. Willie James Inman reports.

Seahorses are unique ocean inhabitants with a head like a horse, a pouch like a kangaroo, a tail like a monkey, and the ability to camouflage themselves like a chameleon.
