While some Bay Area groups canceled their Día de los Muertos events amid concerns about immigration raids, other groups and community members carried on the tradition on Saturday.
The Fairfield community gathered Thursday night to celebrate the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, which translates to the Day of the Dead.
Festivities began Friday for Dia de los Muertos -- or Day of the Dead, with those who celebrate preparing altars to honor family members who have passed.
