DETROIT (CBS) - Every kid who brings a glove to the game dreams of making a fully outstretched grab on a home run ball, but what if that perfect moment comes at the expense of your favorite team? Apparently that scenario is quite tragic.
On Tuesday night, A's infielder Ben Zobrist drilled a line drive into the right field stands in Detroit that many adults would have shied away from. When it cleared the wall, the grand slam gave the A's a lead they would not relinquish. That realization turned an otherwise perfect moment into a tearful one for the kid behind one of the best fan grabs we've seen in some time.
