VIDEO: Stunning Image Of Monster Hurricane Patricia From ISS

PUERTO VALLARTA (CBS SF) -- Video of what is being called the strongest hurricane in recorded history was captured Friday morning from the International Space Station.

Patricia, a massive Category 5 hurricane, is set to make landfall in Mexico sometime Friday afternoon.

Video of the massive storm was captured at 9:15 a.m. Pacific time when the ISS orbited directly over Patricia.

Patricia brings 200 MPH winds and is moving north off the coast of Mexico at about 10 MPH. It's feared the hurricane could bring catastrophic damage to Mexico's Pacific coastal states of Colima, Jalisco and Nayarit.

Evacuations were underway in Puerto Vallarta and the port city of Manzanillo and authorities have declared a state of emergency in a number of coastal municipalities.
