The four mentors work with their local contestants: Iliana, Jabari, Julian and Janelle. Gloria Estefan sings at a Chicago Cubs game while Iliana looks on. Nelly ambushes Jabari while he's on a date. Joe Jonas gets a lesson in women's shoes by Julian. While waiting to surprise Janelle, John Rich attempts to raise money playing at the 'L' Station. The four local contestants perform at Chicago's Vic Theatre.
