Teens Sought In Series Of East Bay Strong-Arm Robberies

DISCOVERY BAY (CBS SF) - Contra Costa County deputies and detectives were looking for a group of juveniles believed to be involved in three strong-arm robberies in Discovery Bay, sheriff's officials said.

The first incident occurred Monday at about 9 p.m. when a 19-year-old pizza delivery driver was robbed in the 1400 block of Cullen Drive.

The suspects took cash, an iPod device, several pizzas and a soda, deputies said.

At around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 14-year-old boy was attacked by a group of juveniles while walking on Lakeshore Circle.

The suspects stole the boy's headphones, officials said.

At about 6:45 p.m. that same day, a group attacked two boys, ages 13 and 14, on Lakeshore Circle and stole an iPod.

A search was conducted in the area but the suspects were not located, deputies said.

"We believe the same juvenile suspects are involved in the three robberies," Lieutenant Mike Burton said in a statement.
