Teenager Killed In East Oakland Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A male teenager was killed in a shooting in East Oakland late Saturday night, an Oakland police officer said.

Officers responded to the 9300 block of Sunnyside Street just minutes before midnight and found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Officer J. Moore said.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he underwent surgery, and later died, Moore said. Police have not released the juvenile's name.

There are no suspects in custody for the fatal shooting and Moore said he did not know if the shooting was related to gang violence.
