(CBS SF) - LOS ANGELES (CBS SF) - During her "Red" Tour show at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, singer Taylor Swift invited "it" band Tegan & Sara on stage for an impromptu performance of the duo's hit song "Closer" in front of a sold out crowd.
As Swift introduces the duo, she said "I really, really love this artists music. I think that this album is one of my favorites of all time. If you ever had your heart broken, you need to have their album." She then joined-in during the second verse.
"Closer" is the first single off their seventh studio, Heartthrob, which is moving up the radio charts. Giving Tegan And Sara a first-time Pop Hits Chart milestone.
Along with the Grammy award-winning band "fun.," Tegan And Sara will be performing at the Greek Theater in Berkeley on Friday, September 6 and Sunday, September 8.
Taylor Swift will be at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Tuesday, August 27 with Ed Sheeran.
