Standoff Near UC Berkeley Ends 9 Hours After Stabbing
BERKELEY (CBS SF) - A nine-hour standoff near University of California, Berkeley is over after police say a suspect stabbed someone with a sickle.
Police say the suspect fled into a home on Parker Street around 5:15 p.m. Sunday night and tried to hide there.
Police forced their way into the home and arrested the male suspect at 2:30 a.m.
The victim is expected to recover.
