Santa Rosa Man Dies in Apparent Gang-Related Shooting

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Police said the shooting death of a man at a Santa Rosa park Saturday night appears to be gang-related.

Officers and paramedics responded shortly before 8:30 p.m. to a report of a gunshot victim at Comstock Middle School in the 2700 block of West Steele Lane, according to a police news release. They found an unresponsive man with gunshot wounds at the adjacent Northwest Community Park.

The suspects and the victim then became involved in a physical struggle with at least one of the suspects.

Police said one of the suspects then shot the victim at least once before both suspects fled the scene.

Police said a $2,500 reward is being offered by offered -- by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund -- for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this homicide.
