San Jose Police Arrest Suspect After Brandishing Weapon

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A person seen brandishing a weapon at officers and others was arrested Thursday afternoon in east San Jose, police said Friday.

Witnesses called police at 3:31 p.m. Thursday to report that a suspect had been exhibiting a firearm at people at the intersection of Mabury and North King roads, police said.

After officers drove to the scene, the suspect brandished the weapon at them, but they were able to disarm the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident, according to police.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately available, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail, police said.
