Man Shot, Killed Inside Richmond Store

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- Contra Costa County sheriff's detectives are investigating a homicide in North Richmond Friday night that killed a Richmond man, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff's deputies responded about 8:25 p.m. to a report of shots fired at Fifth Street and Market Avenue, where they found 20-year-old Marquis Hamilton wounded inside a store.

Hamilton, who had been shot, was transported to Doctors Medical Center in San Pablo, where he was later pronounced deceased, according to the sheriff's office.

Police later located the suspect vehicle, which had been abandoned in Richmond.
